Electus Computers Changelog

Release notes for every update, newest first.

1.0.0

First release. Needs electus_core with shared component styles, ox_lib and oxmysql. The Digital Den repair bench and counter terminal expect the electus_digital_den map.

Devices

  • Laptops in five finishes, desktop computers, wall-mounted TVs and routers with wifi range.
  • Placed screens are replicated to nearby players.
  • USB drives, USB antennas and SIM cards.
  • USB cables between computers, printers and card terminals. They stay plugged in across restarts.
  • Printers and printed documents. A printed page feeds out of the printer and lies in its tray, readable by anyone nearby.
  • Card terminals for taking payments from the Business app. The customer can ask for a paper receipt on the approved screen; it prints and goes into their inventory.
  • Shop clerks with their own shop screen: items with pictures under headings, a basket, and one payment for all of it. A clerk tied to a business sells its stock first.

Apps

  • Everyday: files, mail, browser with configurable websites, website builder, notes, documents, presentations, paint, gallery, calculator, cast, Cloud Drive, crypto wallet, arcade, settings and trash.
  • Work: Business app with storefront, orders, bookings and checkout. Also a boss menu, real estate and an evidence board.
  • Police: police app with a tracking map, phone triangulation and a heat monitor.
  • Hacking: hacking programs and puzzles, password resetter, VPN, call and radio intercepts, SMS dump, encrypted chat and marketplace, and a hacking wiki.
  • Phone: texts and photo transfers between your phone and a computer with lb-phone, RoadPhone or YSeries. RoadPhone and YSeries phones connect with a texted code. Police PIN recovery needs lb-phone; the Password Resetter works with lb-phone and RoadPhone.

Laptop hardware

  • Battery, processor, fan, SSD, wifi card, display and security chip, each with wear and failures. Every section can be turned off.
  • Upgrades: extended battery, quad- and octa-core processors, copper cooler, 120 GB and 250 GB SSDs, long-range wifi and a hardened security chip.
  • A repair bench in the Digital Den, where a technician opens the laptop and swaps parts.

Server

  • ESX, QBCore and Qbox through electus_core.
  • Inventories: ox_inventory, qb-inventory, qs-inventory, core_inventory and tgiann-inventory.
  • On start, the database checker creates missing tables and columns. Expired data is cleaned up in the background.
  • Admin panel (/computersadmin) for computers, presets and businesses. Find computer: aim at a prop to open its record. Admins can remove a computer's password.
  • Discord or Fivemanage logs.
  • On start, the config check warns about bad values, missing items and jobs, and development URLs.
  • Item definitions for ox_inventory and qb-core, with an image for every item in integrations/images/.
